Men's jewellery collection debuts palladium hallmark 27th July 2009
A capsule collection of men's jewellery has become one of the first in the UK to receive the new palladium hallmark.
It was announced last Tuesday (21st July) that palladium had become the fourth precious metal to be awarded hallmark status by the government, following platinum, silver and gold.
Staff at OSARE, a new range of palladium pieces which feature hidden single black diamonds as their signature, were delighted to incorporate the hallmark in their products.
Marketing Manager Natasha Blick said: "A hallmark is an intrinsic mark of quality that UK consumers recognise and understand.
"Having a fourth choice that can be immediately recognised as being a fully precious metal can only benefit people looking to buy jewellery."
Ms Blick added that the new status - which can be used voluntarily until it is made compulsory on 1st January 2010 - will give manufacturers more scope for variety in their designs.
OSARE has also confirmed that it has donated its first hallmarked palladium piece to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Service to enable it to raise vital funds at auction.
